Rome – 12 May, 2025 – The Italian Institute for Privacy and Data Valorisation (IIP) is proud to announce the launch of Privacy AIngel, an innovative generative AI-powered chatbot, designed to simplify the understanding of privacy and data protection rights for users of websites and online services.
Developed by the IIP and powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology, Privacy AIngel offers clear, accessible, and human-like responses to frequent questions – related to any websites – about how personal data is handled and how individuals can exercise their privacy rights under applicable data protection laws.
Accessible at aingel.istitutoitalianoprivacy.it, the AI chatbot leverages a curated dataset created by the IIP to deliver reliable and user-friendly guidance, in order to clarify and make privacy policies easier to understand. Privacy AIngel is not a substitute for legal advice but serves as a first-line resource to help users, citizens, and consumers be better aware of how their data is collected, processed, and protected. It is an interactive launch that will improve over time and with user feedback.
